The Play called Life

So I came across this quote today:

“Stop letting people onto the stage of your life who don’t even deserve a seat in the audience”

Now that just slam dunked me like you wouldn’t believe; so I had to write some thoughts about it.

I’ve been surrounded by people who not only want to somehow be on my stage, but they also want to tell me how to build my stage.

Now, hold up there, Tex!!

It’s my life, thank you, and while I may allow you to give your opinion on how I can better my stage, I’m not gonna let you outright build it for me, to your “so-called” specifications. (And depending on what your intentions are and how you voice it, I may not even allow your opinion about my stage.)

I hate when people want you to be in their plays, and they want their plays to become your life.

I don’t want to be in your plays….do you understand that?

People might say, “Oh, but if you don’t do it my way, and let me be the director, then you won’t make it in life(or a job for that matter).”

I’ve got a bigger director than you that directs my life; so, honey, your opinion ‘don’t amount to jack’.

But not only do you want to build MY stage and get on it, you wanna also be in the audience with a ‘big-ol’ sign that says, “I directed and produced this and made her a star!!”

I know this might be hard for you to understand but I want you to get this deep within your spirit:

I don’t even want you in the audience…much less backstage…much less onstage.

So let it go!

You have a vast array of monkeys that you are building, as if you are a Mad Doctor…so be content with that and get the devil off my stage and out of my audience!!

In fact, don’t even come into the building.

There is a reservation list and you’re not on it!!

(Perhaps you can trim the hedges outside, but that’s about it.)
